Hi everyone~

I'm a uni fresher so some of you experienced uni goers might be able to smell me a mile away... or not. 8Db

I'm known as Alice and I'm studying patisserie. It's fun but it's tiring.

Some of you might be glad in hearing that I'm not a Narutard... or a Bleachtard.... ?
Instead, I enjoy quite a large variety of anime. I prefer mine in its original language with English subs.

Ummmmmm, my favourite anime is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni! It's awesome~

I don't know what else to say, and I don't want to make it tl:dr!
I heard that there's club day this Thurs, and was wondering if you lot will have a stall or something.

Not a Narutard or a Bleachtard...but a Fairy Tailtard? XD

Fairy Tail took my attention because I haven't come across an anime that can make me laugh so hard in ages. 8D
Plus, Happy is voiced by Kugimiya which is a plus+!

Really? It might be because i got into One Piece first, but i found that more funny and epic of a series. Though ive only just started Fairy Tail (seems kind of like a rip off of all 3 shounen series, but im guessing it improves lol)

I've never watched One Piece, but I've read the first 3 volumes of the manga.

Fairy Tail still gets my vote out of the two. I mean, Kakihara shouting his guts out and being manly is something you can't miss. 8D

Um, I'll just throw a few titles off the top of my head that I enjoyed:
Baccano!, Higashi no Eden, Munto TV, Ga-Rei -Zero-, Higurashi, Umineko, Moyashimon, Sengoku BASARA, Soul Eater, Druaga no Tou.... etc

One piece takes a while to get into, but it is definitely worth the wait i think.

Which one is Kakihara? Proof that Zoro from One Piece is the manliest of manly characters ever link!

Out of the ones you listed just now. I also love Soul Eater. Sengoku Basara as well (but for the wrong reasons lol)

trust me fairy tail gets good i read the manga for it.
it takes a little bit but it does get fairly interesting and ya one piece also takes a while to get going but its worth it in the end.

Im watching the anime for it (only up to episode 9 at the moment) and ill probably keep watching it, but i have a hard time believing that it will get better than One Piece (though that did take me 100 or so episodes to get into lol)

i prefer one piece myself but fairy tail takes to the phantom lord arc to really take of which should be starting this week on episode 21

Well, one thing with shounen genre anime is that you'll get those stereotypes and conventions over and over again!
eg. idiotic and stubborn lead, big boobed girls, a rival with the main character, etc.

Kakihara is the surname of a seiyuu, Kakihara Tetsuya. He also did Simon from TTGL!
That Zoro clip doesn't get the blood burning and feeling GAR. 8( However his loyalty and determination is something to be admired.

Oh i understand this fully and accept it as the tropes that they are. But when characters blatantly look and have the same powers as those from another series (im looking at Kageyama/Shikamaru both with shadow manipulation and even look alike) its hard to just pass it off as a common convention

It probably would have been better with the context. But how can that kind of sacrifice and manliness not get the blood boiling? (Staying consious and standing up when you were already near death and then taking all the damage and pain that your captain had taken in battle...basically double death lol)
