Round 14 - Soul Eater Mafia - Madness Unleashed (Town Wins)
Since this is a different type of mafia, thought i would make it a bit easier by giving you guys some info on the set up.
1 - Only kills that take place during this round are by lynching
2 - Each night the Cult leader will try to recruit more players onto their side
3 - Should at the start of any Day Phase the Cult side and the Town side have the same amount of players on each side, the Cult will be victorious
4 - People who got recruited by the cult when lynched will show up as a member of the cult
5 - The town side has only 1 power role on their side who can not be recruited by the Cult.
6 - To ensure you have read all the rules, in your first post you must post complete the following sentence "Most people didnt know this about me, but........"
7 - Your victory conditions changes depending on what side you are:
- Starting off as a townie, your goal is to find and kill the Cult Leader (and any possible members they have recruited)
- Being recruited onto the Cult side means your new victory condition is to ensure the victory of the Cult side, by getting enough townies converted/lynched.
- Only people still alive when a side is victorious will be winners. Those who die in the process will not share victory with their side.
- Only the Cult Leader can win, even if they are dead, as long as the cult side is victorious.
- This could also mean you become an easy lynch victim if you are converted after your role reveal so be smart about your role reveal is all i can suggest..
8 - You can role reveal as you wish, but the Cult Leader has a "town character" as well (just been infected with the madness by the Kishin, Asura pre-game)
9 - Lynching takes place as usual, bold to vote, majority must be reached etc

I like how TIG made me read all of my character description but it has nothing to do with the game at all.
@Idlefingers: It's the first time everyone played this set up. My personal thought for this setup is.... it'll depend a lot on luck for the cult leader to actually be captured.
The chances of us getting the cult leader each day are as follows. Providing each day we lynch a person and leader successfully converts a person.
Day
1: 1/14 with 1 cult 13 townies
2: 1/13 with 2 cult 11 townies
3: 1/12 with 3 cult 9 townies
4: 1/11 with 4 cult 7 townies
5: 1/10 with 5 cult 5 townies
If this is the situation then pretty much cult wins at day 5.
Of course this won't be the case if the only power role in town manages to get converted somehow. Which again depends on luck. But it'll buy us only 1 more day. =S
So yeah I guess townies shouldn't lynch too rashly and wait for the cult leader to fuck up somehow.

Please don't forget, our only hope to make a comeback is with the 1 power role on the town side, if we fail drastically and start lynching townies instead.
Regarding steven's point, i dont think waiting around for the cult to fuck up is that easy lol. I suspect since this round of mafia is drastically different, there will be some townies who might end up to be less vocal/less active because they don't know what to say (if they say the wrong thing, they might be at a disadvantage etc..), or they have the town power role and is trying to stay out of the limelight to avoid being lynched.
So since the set up has no deaths (apart from lynching) does this game still have the points system (buy protection etc)? I'm not really sure myself, curse me if you wish. Its a stupid question lol.

I am utterly theme illiterate. But literacy aside, I think that massclaiming is a bad idea - the Cult Leader has a perfectly legit role claim, so it will get us absolutley nowhere.

Since I have watched soul eater before, Cult leader most likely is called Medusa or Stine-sensei (as in part of Frankenstine, yeah i dunno how that works either) since in the anime Medusa eventually uses the (wtf) 'insanity' from Kishin to drive Stine-sensei crazy/evil/on her side. So I reckon Stine would be the cover town character for cult leader while Medusa is the real character for cult leader. This is strictly theme talking though, I dunno, it's plausable that TIG will use a completely irrelevant/different town-looking character for the cult leader to use as cover but this is how I'm reading it.

Soul (stoned looking guy with bandana, Maka's weapon)
Tsubaki (chick with big boobs, Black Star's weapon)
Death the Kid (the emo looking one) <---- i have a feeling lenalesca has this character, due to her unhealthy obsession over him XD
Patricia/Elizabeth (the sisters, Death the Kid's weapons)
Shinigami (the black thing, headmaster of the school)
Maybe..?
Franken stien (crazy doctor)
Death Scythe (crazy doctor's weapon)

Basically a school that had two kinds of students, ones that train to become Shinigamis and ones that train to be the Shinigamis' weapon (they kinda morph into weapons). Each pairs' main aim is to collect 99 souls and 1 witch soul (from what i remember). That's the main jist I think..

This is what i was thinking would be useful as a back up, if we cant some how figure out who the Cult Leader is, we can at least kill the people he converts till we narrow down our suspiciouns. According to TIGs first post, i dont think the Cult could do anything to them directly. Yeah - agree with Reznor, and previous posts by Lenalesca/sKeam/etc. It's very possible for us to last for another three or four days though if we keep lynching converted mafia.
This might be one of the few rounds where a no lynch is good, at least for day one - there will be 2 mafia on Day Two assuming a successful conversion, but there'll be 9 townies instead of 8. In fact it's possible to not lynch anyone until there's about 3 or 4 mafia - we have a higher chance of killing mafia that way and it'll take longer for townie:mafia ratio to be 1:1.

After reading all the strategies. I like the role revealing and the no lynching idea.
It's a game of numbers. If there are no deaths in this game from night phase. And the townies keep going for no lynch on day phases. The town should be able to last 5 days instead of 4 days in the worst cast scenario.

While i think the role reveal may be a good idea in concept, i do want to win should i get conerted to the cult, which i am sure others could agree with, so i dont know if i like ruining my chances on that aspect. that sounded like such an untownie thing to say didnt it

Im down like the economy for the no lynch idea.
@Stebung. I like your probabilities for once lol.But i'd say day 3 or 4 should be the last time we go for no lynch just to be safe. if we get to day 5 and vote for the wrong person then we would really fuck up since they can just bandwagon us.So i'd rather not.
But revealing roles now ......not really. I'd rather have a fun game than a boring and systematic one.But depending how the night stories go, i might be more supportive of the idea tomorrow,just not on day 1... Even though ppl like Lenalesca seem to be wanting to reveal atm

ok umm role reveal if wants to be done HAS to be done on day 1 so we can try to get the cult leader because once the cult leader has converted someone it doesn't MATTER if they role reveal because they'd still theoretically be townie (from name & character facts etc) but just on the anti-town side since they're 'infected'. So i see it as if any use is to come out of role reveal then day 1 is the best time - we can do a hit-or-miss on lynching the character with most suspicious role. If cult makes it past day 1 with role reveal, then don't trust anyone even if they role reveal because it has zero credibility in this situation. This is why I'm kinda suspicious at Skeam now because he's kinda pushing for no reveal but i understand ur need for a 'good game'. so basically I'm saying there is actually not much point in role reveal past day 1.

I don't believe that role reveal will help, unless someone here knows this Soul Eater thing very very well. I don't know the series at all so I can't make any conclusions. For one, the cult leader may not be the most obvious 'evil' character - and as others have said, since s/he will target anyone during the night to convert, if you are converted, your initial character won't matter.

For one, the cult leader may not be the most obvious 'evil' character - and as others have said, since s/he will target anyone during the night to convert, if you are converted, your initial character won't matter.

witha 1/10 shot of taking out the cult leader out at the moment (since we know our own character) i think for now at least it may be best to go with the no lynch option and see if after the night story we learn anything in particular. no lynch

Well as someone already has pointed out, revealing your character won't make any difference because the cult person could be anyone etc.
Another thing is, wouldnt revealing your characters be a slight disadvantage to the town? I mean the Cult would be able to know the characters and start converting the less suspicious ones? Like Soul Eater Evans for an example, he's the main protagonist from what we know and we might dismiss that fact he's "omg cannot be cult cause hes Maka's weapon" and the Cult might use that as an advantage.
But if your going by "cannon", the "evil" character (as I can see) is probably Franken Stien, he's like the good but evil (cause hes the mad scientist) lol..
